Health ClinicThe Mataranka Clinic was handed over to the Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation on Monday 5th April 2004 subject to a Memorandum of Understanding and a Service Agreement between Sunrise and Mataranka Council. A complete range of services is available to locals and travellers including a modern Clinic and well trained and enthusiastic professional staff. Mataranka Council has made available a land site for the construction of a Doctor's residence, and currently a Doctor is available twice per week on visits from neighbouring Katherine. The population catchment serviced by the Mataranka Clinic is about 1200 persons and starts at the Central Arnhem Road approximately 60 km north of Mataranka and goes as far south as Daly Waters 200 km south of Mataranka.
